Facility/Pipeline Field QC

The Peace River division of Weaver Group Limited is currently accepting applications for an experienced Facility/Pipeline Field QC.
This position is based out of Peace River, Alberta. Candidates must be local to the Peace River area or willing to relocate. No LOA is provided for this position.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in pipeline, plant, and facility settings.
- CWB Welding Level 1.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME, ABSA, API, and CSA construction codes.
- Experience creating and reviewing technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and field installation processes related to facility and pipeline work.
- Experience with weld mapping, as-built drawings, redlining engineered drawings, and creating hydro-test packages.
- Proficient in AcornPipe and Bluebeam software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including steel fabrication, welding, and machining.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Valid H2S, First Aid, and CSO safety tickets.
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Compile turnover packages in a timely manner to meet client schedules.
- Protect all forms of proprietary information.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, program modifications, and structural repairs.
- Analyze maps, drawings, and blueprints to support project planning.
- Ensure compliance with client and company requirements as per contractual obligations.
- Build and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) as required.
- Coordinate documentation and records with managers, field teams, and project stakeholders.
- Promote quality achievement and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Coordinate field verification of modifications or changes resulting from RFIs, NCRs, or other deviation notices.
- Assist with Non-Conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
- Maintain control of quality documents, including manuals, procedures, work instructions, records, forms, checklists, and industry standards.
- Control material traceability.
- Conduct Quality Management System training.
- Monitor and control calibration of tools and equipment.
- Monitor, analyze, and control NCRs, CARs, and PARs.
- Act as the point of contact for QMS-related inquiries from leadership, employees, and clients.
- Consult leadership as required.
- Work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
