The Langley Minor Hockey Association (LMHA) is a community-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to developing young hockey players in a positive, inclusive, and well organized environment. Our team works collaboratively to deliver an exceptional hockey experience at great value. LMHA’s offices are currently located at the Langley Events Centre.
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the association through strong communication, organization, and administrative leadership. This position supports summer camps, rep tryouts, events, communications, compliance, and financial processes while working closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers, and membership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of hockey operation experience, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with administrative and communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace, email systems, registration platforms such as TeamSnap & TeamGenius)
- Familiarity with website platforms (e.g., Squarespace) and social media management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Financial tracking or bookkeeping experience is an asset
- Experience with or knowledge of minor hockey or sport organizations (preferred)
- Experience with hockey in general (either playing or coaching)
Key Responsibilities
- Support events as directed by the LMHA board (Tournaments/Provincials etc)
- Organize Summer Camps
- Organize Rep (A) tryouts for U11-U21
- Organize U7-U9 evaluations
- Organize House (C) evaluations
- Organize Goalie Development
- Organize Player Development
- Organize Pay/Use programs
- Stay current on updates from PCAHA, BC Hockey, and Hockey Canada Communication
- Support LMHA website (Squarespace) and social media platforms promoting events, achievements, and important updates
- Create and distribute member communications via TeamSnap Registration & Rostering
- Support TeamSnap pre-season camp registration
- Create & manage Goalie Development
- Create & manage Pay/Use programs Accounting Support
- Support Operation budgets
Pay: $24.00-$28.85 per hour
