Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Travel Data Specialist to join our team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and visualizing travel-related data to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, experience with various statistical and visualization tools, and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights. Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and manage travel data from multiple sources using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and Google Analytics
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, Adobe Analytics, or similar software to visualize travel trends and patterns
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and business development
- Utilize statistical software to conduct in-depth analyses supporting marketing strategies and operational decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver insights that influence travel planning and marketing efforts
- Support the development of predictive models and forecasting techniques based on historical travel data
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout all stages of collection and analysis
Experience
- Proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency in statistical software including R, SAS, SPSS, or Adobe Analytics
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and management
- Programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation tasks are highly desirable
- Knowledge of Google Analytics for tracking digital engagement metrics related to travel campaigns
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and business development strategies driven by data insights
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear reports and presentations
- Prior experience in travel industry analytics or related fields is a plus but not required
