Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to complete construction and excavation projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. We are looking to fill positions at our site in Mission and our site in New Westminster.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers, cranes and loaders
- Perform tasks such as digging, grading, leveling, and moving materials
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient operation
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Skills:
- Proficient in the operation of backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, loaders, and other heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures for heavy equipment operation
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
