We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences, creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may need to be addressed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options and aftercare.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
- Handle pets safely and securely during grooming sessions, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
- Lift and manage pets of various sizes, which may involve heavy lifting in some cases.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.
Qualifications
- 2 years of Previous experience in pet grooming required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing for long periods and heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of different dog and cat breeds, including specific grooming needs for each breed is a plus.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their well-being and comfort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
