This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and operationalization of enterprise data privacy capabilities. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end delivery of privacy platform solutions (e.g., BigID) and translate regulatory requirements into scalable, testable technical configurations.
Own the design and implementation of Privacy functions across key capabilities, including:
Translate regulatory and policy requirements across multiple North American jurisdictions into testable and scalable platform configurations.
Design and implement functional integrations between Data Privacy platforms (e.g., BigID) and enterprise systems such as:
Active Directory
Cloud storage platforms
Databases
Ticketing tools
Lead end-to-end implementation of Data Privacy platforms across all core domains (Data Discovery, DSAR, Retention, Vendor Management, AI governance).
Maintain functional traceability of requirements from design through testing and delivery.
Own the full lifecycle of functional requirements, including design, validation, and deployment.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to assess current processes and embed privacy-by-design principles.
Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, and IT teams to align platform capabilities with regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver technical documentation, user training, and ongoing support.
Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize system performance, and manage upgrades or new feature rollouts.
Strong understanding of enterprise data privacy platforms (e.g., BigID, OneTrust, Securiti).
Experience integrating privacy tools within complex enterprise ecosystems.
Knowledge of structured and unstructured data environments, including:
Data discovery and classification
Data cataloging and lineage
Cloud and hybrid data architectures
8+ years of experience in Data Privacy, with hands-on experience operationalizing regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, CCPA, CPA-type frameworks), beyond policy advisory.
Demonstrated ownership of data privacy platform implementations, including:
Proven experience working with enterprise-scale data architecture across structured and unstructured data sources.
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (CPO/DPO level) and drive decisions independently.
