Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Class 1 Driver License / Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on man lifts, scissor lifts and freightliner trucks with Detroit Diesel Engines. Your expertise will ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our ongoing projects and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment including man lifts, scissor lifts, welders, forklifts, tractors, and trailers
- Perform mechanical repairs such as transmission work, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, hydraulics servicing
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components accurately
- Fabricate parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques as needed
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repair procedures for compliance and future reference
- Assist in equipment assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Support safety protocols by adhering to industry standards such as air brake testing and vehicle alignment procedures
Skills
- Minimum two years experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking; familiar with schematics interpretation
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as , cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all repair tasks
- Clear communication and problem-solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.51-$47.40 per hour
