We are seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. The Massage Therapist will be responsible for delivering personalized treatments tailored to each client's needs while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess clients’ needs and develop customized treatment plans to address specific concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate wellness practices.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to massage therapy and health conditions is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client questions or concerns.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a caring attitude at all times.
- Prior experience in a therapeutic or wellness setting is a plus but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
- Must adhere to state licensing laws and regulations
- Must carry liability insurance
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, spa management, and staff
- Knowledge of Swedish Massage required
- Knowledge of other various modalities preferred (Neuromuscular, Myofascial, Oncology, Trigger Point, Pre-natal, Craniosacral, Reiki, Deep Tissue), but not required.
- Understand and believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork
