OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Product Manager to support operational product management initiatives within Wealth Management and Global Asset Management . The successful candidate will work closely with operations teams, product stakeholders, business partners, and external customers to support the delivery and ongoing management of investment and wealth products, operational processes, and strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys balancing operational execution, stakeholder support, process improvement, and product-related initiatives. The position offers exposure to mutual funds, ETFs, segregated funds, high-net-worth wealth products, savings products, and broader asset management operations.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in office, additional ad hoc days as required)
Contract Length: 12 Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)
Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST
Pay: T4 $ $30 / IC $ 35

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the execution of product management and operational initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as a key point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to business partners and customers.
Monitor product and operational performance, identify issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
Analyze data and business information to generate insights, recommendations, and actionable reporting.
Gather, organize, and format data for recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and management updates.
Support change management activities, including implementation, testing, adoption, and sustainment of new processes, products, and services.
Execute operational activities while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established service standards.
Investigate and resolve routine operational issues while escalating complex matters to senior team members or management.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational processes, controls, and stakeholder experiences.
Support project planning, testing, implementation, and rollout activities for new or revised products, services, and business processes.
Process transactions and operational activities accurately and within established regulatory and risk management frameworks.
Follow documented policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
Review, reconcile, and validate information and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support training initiatives and the development of operational tools and documentation.
Create and maintain cross-functional process maps to improve visibility, efficiency, and collaboration across teams.
Maintain awareness of operational risks, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks relevant to wealth and asset management operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of professional experience in product support, operations, administration, customer service, project coordination, or a related business function.
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated attention to detail, particularly when handling repetitive or process-driven work.
Ability to prioritize work effectively based on urgency, risk, and business impact.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning, ownership, and execution.
High degree of professionalism, reliability, and trustworthiness.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

Experience supporting Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Funds, Private Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services operations.
Exposure to product management, product support, or operational change initiatives.
Experience creating process maps, workflow documentation, or business process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with reporting, dashboard creation, and operational performance monitoring.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple business areas.
Demonstrated ability to learn new products, processes, and systems quickly.

EDUCATION

Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, Operations, or a related discipline.
