Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and student-focused educators to join our team as Part-Time Academic Tutors & Online Credit Course Teachers.
This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about supporting student success through both after-school academic tutoring and online Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit courses. Depending on qualifications and experience, successful candidates may also have opportunities to teach CNA’s online credit courses, provide academic support, and lead engaging student enrichment clubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide after-school tutoring in core high school subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.).
- Teach Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) online credit courses through CNA’s Learning Management System (for qualified teachers).
- Deliver timely assessment, feedback, and student support in accordance with Ontario curriculum expectations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the academic team.
- Lead engaging after-school clubs such as Debate, STEM, Coding, Public Speaking, or other enrichment activities.
- Participate in curriculum planning and continuous improvement of online learning resources.
Qualifications
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing, or eligible to obtain OCT certification.
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Secondary School curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Comfortable using online learning platforms and educational technology.
- Experience teaching OSSD credit courses.
- Experience with online or asynchronous learning environments.
- Ability to teach one or more senior-level subjects (Grades 9–12).
- Experience supporting international students is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
