Senior Business Analyst – Risk Management
Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support risk management initiatives within our banking/financial services engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong domain expertise in risk, governance, and compliance platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business/functional requirements for Risk Management programs
Work closely with stakeholders to translate risk and compliance needs into actionable specifications
Support eGRC platform implementation, configuration, and enhancement initiatives
Liaise with onshore business/technology teams and offshore delivery teams
Prepare process flows, gap analyses, and requirement traceability documentation
Support UAT, defect triage, and production rollout activities

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of Business Analysis experience, with significant exposure to Risk Management domains
Hands-on knowledge of eGRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, MetricStream, or similar)
Strong understanding of Financial Risk (credit, market, operational, or enterprise risk) concepts
Prior experience in Banking/Financial Services industry
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (onshore client-facing role)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
Experience with regulatory/compliance frameworks (OSFI, Basel, SOX, etc.)
Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models

Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities
Excellent communication across business and technology stakeholders
Strong collaboration and stakeholder influencing skills
Ability to operate effectively in both leadership and hands-on analytical roles
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is CAD 109,000 – 128,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plan terms.
