PAYROLL ANALYST- HUMAN RESOURCES (100%) SPECIAL PROJECT
This full-time special project position is available July 1, 2026, at Riverside School Board, located at 7525 chemin de Chambly in Saint-Hubert.
NATURE OF WORK
The position of HR Payroll Analyst encompasses responsibility for the analysis, coordination, control and continuous improvement of payroll and human resources systems, processes, procedures and programs. The role involves ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of payroll operations, employee compensation, benefits administration and related HR data, while supporting the efficient use of organizational resources through process optimization, reporting, systems analysis and operational support.
ROLE FUNCTION
- Assist with complex payroll analyses to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, salary treatments, deductions, benefits administration and financial reconciliations.
- Review, analyze and process complex payroll correction requests, salary adjustments, retroactive payments and salary advances, while coordinating with internal stakeholders. Ensure reconciliation and consistency between payroll, financial records and reporting tools, including Power BI, and identify discrepancies, trends or issues requiring corrective action.
- Troubleshoot and analyze complex payroll issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective measures and coordinate resolution with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Act as the main point subject matter resource for the HR payroll services
- Collaborate actively with internal stakeholders during audit exercises; and provide and prepare payroll-related analyses, and research for information requests.
- Perform and oversee payroll reconciliations with the Finance Department and participate in financial analyses related to payroll operations.
- Produce, analyze and present reports, dashboards, statistics, executive summaries and presentations for management, internal stakeholders and committees to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Participate in working groups and presentations related to payroll operations, process improvements, compliance requirements and organizational initiatives within the sector.
- Analyze operational issues, assess risks, recommend additional controls and intervene with users or stakeholders as required to ensure compliance, accuracy and integrity of payroll processes.
- Act as an escalation point for multifaceted and complex payroll analysis case files.
- Coordinate and ensure the implementation and update of programs; they ensure that deadlines are respected and propose the required corrective measures; they organize, and conduct training and professional development sessions intended for the staff concerned and ensures evaluation and follow-up.
- Conducts the necessary analyses to meet the community's needs in information; presents statistics and prepares documents or reports and oversees the use and update of databanks.
- Participate in the development and application of the standards and procedures pertaining to his or her sector of activity and ensure compliance; he or she may be called upon to conduct research or to provide advice on the application of collective agreements, laws, regulations and administrative rules.
- Perform other duties assigned to support departmental initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of specialization: such as administration or computer science.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is an asset.
OTHER ASSETS:
- Experience with GRH-PAIE and GRH-Poste
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software and Power BI
- Experience working in accounting/finance

ANNUAL SALARY :
In accordance with the Professionals’ Agreement: $54 862 to $91 023 per 35-hour week, according to qualifications and experience.
