Tache Early Learning Centre is a multi site childcare organization with four location in Lorette, MB. We are licensed to serve 209 children ages 12 weeks - 12 years and employ 70 staff including CCA's, ECE11, ECE111, ECE students in training and support staff.
The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Director at Tache early Learning Centre INC who is passionate about early learning and ready to support our families and team in delivering high-quality care and programming every day.
The Assistant Director supports the Executive Director in leading the centre’s programs and staff. This role combines on-floor leadership and program oversight with mentoring, curriculum support, and licensing compliance.
As a hands-on leader, the Assistant Director models high-quality early learning practices and provides day-to-day guidance to educators.
What You’ll Do
- ● Support program planning, evaluation, and reflective practice
- ● Provide mentorship, coaching, and supervision to educators
- ● Ensure programs align with Manitoba’s Early Learning Curriculum Framework
- ● Support compliance with licensing and health and safety standards
- ● Maintain communication with families and assist with administrative reporting as needed
- ● Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes professional growth
Who We’re Looking For:
- ● Classification as an ECE III or ECE II
- ● Minimum 3 years of experience in a licensed child care setting( Experience in a multi site childcare centre is an asset)
- ● A passion for teamwork, learning, and quality care
- ● Experience providing mentorship, leadership or supervision to staff
- ● Strong understanding of curriculum development, inclusion, and reflective practice
- ● Experience with the ISP program and working with children of different needs and abilities
- ● Experience with the ECE11 workplace program and mentoring students within that program
- ● Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- ● Current First Aid & CPR certification
- ● Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check
- ● Current Commit to Kids certification
