JOB DESCRIPTION
Ekkinox is seeking an experienced payroll clerk to work in our terminal in Mississauga, ON. This position involves handling payroll and payroll queries from drivers and office staff. It is an on-site position based in Mississauga.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Process daily/weekly payroll for company drivers and office staff

Collect, verify, and reconcile driver logs and run sheets

Ensure accurate calculation of earning, hourly wages, Over time, stat holiday and additional top-ups

Respond to driver and employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Maintain confidential payroll reports and assist in audits and internal reporting

Input and update data into payroll system(AS400)

Coordinate with HR, dispatch teams and head office payroll regarding new hires, terminations and changes in employee status

Assist with year-end processing of TL2 forms- triaging to the correct departments

Education in payroll functions or related

Minimum 1-2 years of payroll experience in transportation

Must have the ability to read, write and communicate with good telephone etiquette

Experience using MS Office suite and other programs

Experience using AS400 is an asset

Works well under pressure and with multiple deadlines on a daily/weekly basis.
