Job Summary
As a proud local/small business with our team currently consisting of two owners, we’re looking for reliable and hardworking painters to join our team as we grow our business. The ideal candidate(s) have experience with interior and exterior painting, strong attention to detail, takes pride in their work, and has a positive attitude. We’re looking for someone who is available to work Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, part-time to full-time hours depending on the jobs scheduled each week. Applicants must have reliable transportation to be able to meet at the job site each day, or meet in Port Perry or Lindsay each morning when scheduled to work.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for paint by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming, as necessary
Mask off areas/protect surrounding areas using masking tape and/or drop cloths
Apply paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
Complete a quality check to identify if any imperfections and ensure they’re rectified
Clean and maintain tools and equipment in between uses/after jobs are complete (brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders, etc.)
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines and company standards
Communicate professionally with team members and our clients
Requirements
Previous painting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
Ability to work at heights when necessary (ladders/scaffolding)
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Take pride in your work
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Good communication skills
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license (preferred) to meet in Port Perry or Lindsay, or to meet on the job site
