Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash and process payments efficiently, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are strictly followed during food handling and preparation
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff to deliver timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly desirable; kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and guest service best practices
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with guests
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
