Duties
- Ensure safe practices prior to working on any equipment to prevent harm to him/herself and to others.
- Lead in solving any measurement or control problem (PLCs, drives, sensors).
- Actively participate in problem-solving activities related to operation of equipment in the facility on both a preventive and reactive basis.
- Demonstrate safety in the workplace by following and complying with company’s safety policies.Create and assist with CMMS work orders and project execution.
- Design and develop control system architectures utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays), and embedded systems based on project specifications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and determine stability within a control system (drive speed/torque controller or any process control loop).
- Develop, troubleshoot, and implement changes in collaboration with the Maintenance and Operations Teams in order to maintain and/or improve process line automation.
- Create detailed schematics and electrical diagrams using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, to ensure precise system integration.
- Conduct system simulations and analyses for mechanical and electrical validation, ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation including schematics, system design reports, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate manufacturing and maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize control system integration within production environments, ensuring seamless operation and scalability.
- Perform debugging, testing, and validation of control hardware/software components to guarantee high reliability and performance under operational conditions.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a three (3) year Community College Diploma Program in Automation, Control Systems Technology or Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with instrumentation and automated controls in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with electrical system design, system integration, and automation controls in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD for schematic creation and mechanical design.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), signal processing techniques, schematics drafting, and debugging complex systems.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to control hardware integration combined with electrical engineering expertise for comprehensive system design.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings (schematics) and create detailed documentation for manufacturing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on troubleshooting hardware/software issues efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $40.92-$43.29 per hour
