Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This role combines front desk responsibilities with legal support tasks, serving as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while providing essential administrative assistance to lawyers.
Duties
- Greet clients, visitors, and callers with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings efficiently
- Perform data entry and maintain filing systems using legal management software
- Assist with drafting, compiling, and filing of real estate conveyancing files
- Organize files, manage document organization, and ensure timely filing in both electronic and physical formats
- Monitor emails and respond promptly
Skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and dedlines efficiently
- Diploma in a Legal Assitant or Paralegal program
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Punjabi and Hindi would be added asset
- Experience with data entry, filing systems, and clerical tasks in a professional setting
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective client communication
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
