Child Care Live-in CaregiverJob Overview
We are seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Home Child Caregiver to provide attentive in-home care for children in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for three children. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dependable, patient, and committed to supporting children’s emotional, social, and educational development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in the employer’s residence
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
- Prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home
- Oversee children’s daily activities, including meals, naps, rest periods, and playtime
- Support children’s emotional well-being and social development
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and healthy habits
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents
- Organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings
- Take children to and from school, appointments, and activities as needed
- Perform housekeeping duties related to child care
- Maintain records of daily activities and health information, if required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- ECEA certification in British columbia
- Non expired Emergency first aid - Child care & CPR
- Housekeeping and child care certificate
- Previous child care or household management experience
- Demonstrated ability to care for children responsibly and independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and trustworthy
- Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for children
- Authorization to work in Canada
- Must meet required schedule and location
- Passionate about the field of child care
- Has completed responsible adult course
- Has completed the IELTS exam
