Dear Born Baby & Kids has been a trusted name in the baby industry since 1979. Our 22,000 sq. ft. boutique-style store and growing e-commerce business serve families across the GTA with premium products and expert advice.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Buyer to take ownership of product selection, inventory planning, and vendor relationships across our retail store and online platforms.
This is a high-impact role where your decisions directly influence sales, margins, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own purchasing and inventory planning across retail and e-commerce channels
- Analyze sales performance, margins, and inventory turns to drive buying decisions
- Manage vendor relationships including pricing, terms, and product assortment
- Identify and onboard new brands aligned with customer demand and market trends
- Collaborate with marketing on product launches, promotions, and campaigns
- Forecast demand and manage stock levels to minimize overstock and stockouts
- Oversee SKU setup, product data, and lifecycle management
- Support and optimize marketplace assortment (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy)
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years’ experience in retail buying
- Strong analytical and financial acumen (margin, sell-through, inventory turns)
- Proven ability to make independent buying decisions
- Experience negotiating with vendors and managing relationships
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills; Shopify or e-commerce experience is an asset
- Experience in baby, lifestyle, or specialty retail is preferred
