We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own delivery van and commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs and receipts.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs when required, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and commercial driving.
Requirements
- Valid class 5driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or logistics preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate deliveries
- Physical ability to lift heavy and perform manual loading/unloading tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers.
- Must pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,000.00-$1,200.00 per week
