Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise on-site construction crew
- Assign daily tasks and ensure productivity targets are met
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations (WSIB / OHSA)
- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment
- Monitor workmanship and quality control
- Train and mentor apprentices and labourers
- Communicate progress and issues to Site Supervisor/Project Manager
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job site
- Perform hands-on construction work as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience atleast 5 in commercial construction
- Previous experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage crews
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Valid working at heights certification is an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario Health & Safety regulations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s licence
- Trade certification an asset
