Job Description (Duties)
Work assignments may take place at various industrial sites across Alberta. Transportation or LOA (Living Out Allowance) may be provided depending on project requirements.
Electricians at AG&P Canada will:

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code specifications for industrial installations

Install, test, and repair wiring, conduits, lighting, and electrical control systems in manufacturing or energy facilities

Troubleshoot and maintain switchgear, transformers, and industrial motors
-
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and record keeping in accordance with safety and code requirements

Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control devices as needed
Qualifications

Completion of apprenticeship program or trade certification (Red Seal preferred)

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial setting

Valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship certificate

Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Reliable transportation to site

Valid driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract (under 6 demerits)

Positions are safety-sensitive and subject to drug and alcohol testing and applicable site-required background screening prior to mobilization.
