Scarlet Craft Kitchen in the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is recruiting for an outgoing engaged individual to be a Supervisor in Scarlet as well as the Express Stop. Scarlet is a full service restaurant open early morning through to evening service. Weekends are our busiest time due to hotel high occupancy. With summer underway, patio season is in full swing. Scarlet's patio offers stunning views of the riverbank, making it one of the busiest and most sought-after dining destinations downtown.
The Scarlet Supervisory team shares various shifts; therefore, candidates must have flexible availability (mornings, mids, evenings) and you MUST be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
Ideally the candidate would have experience leading a group of individuals and have minimum two years serving experience and some bartending experience. The Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring excellence in execution on the floor to ensure the blueprint of service standards are maintained for guests to have an exemplary dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Training, coaching and development of all Scarlet and Express service associates
- Ensure service staff adhere to service blue prints, operating procedures, and professional appearance
- Provide input to the Outlets Manager regarding coaching discussions, performance reviews, and ongoing training opportunities for service team members
- Adjusting schedule as necessary based upon business volumes
- Assist in accuracy of point-of-sale system and updating as necessary
- Assist with inventory counts and monitor/maintain par-stocks
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and objectives to support revenue and profit targets
- Ensure all staff understand and comply to cost controls and security measures
- Audit shift deposits and reconciliations for accuracy
- Requisition supplies for Scarlet and Express Stop as necessary
- Ensure the next shift if set up for success
- Motivate associates building a culture of respect, recognition and celebration
- Conduct shift huddles to ensure daily departmental goals are achievable
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings
- Strong effective communication with culinary team
- Ensure staff are following safety protocols (food safe handling, sanitization procedures and responsible alcohol service)
- Regular inspection of the room and patio reporting any maintenance deficiencies
- Perform all duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years serving experience in a full service restaurant
- Supervisory experience is a definite asset
- Valid Responsible Alcohol Certificate (SIRS)
- Present themselves in a professional manner
- Engaging personality and love interacting with guests
- Ability to lead a team to accomplish short term goals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
