We are a growing landscape and pool construction company looking for a skilled, motivated, and reliable landscaper to join our crew. You will work alongside our foreman, delivering premium hardscape and softscape installations for our clients.
This is not a lawn-cutting job. This is hands-on, skilled landscape construction, and we are looking for someone who takes the craft seriously.

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the company owner, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading landscaping and pool projects from start to finish.
- Delivering finished projects on time or ahead of schedule and budgets.
- Organizing daily work, assigning tasks, and keeping the crew productive and focused.
- Reviewing project plans, measurements, specifications, and installation details before and throughout each project.
- Overseeing the installation of pools, interlock, natural stone, porcelain patios, retaining walls, driveways, stairs, sod, garden beds, and plantings.
- Operating landscape machinery.
- Training, supporting, and providing clear direction to crew members.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and completing regular quality control checks.
- Planning ahead for labour, equipment, deliveries, and materials to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Organizing and ordering materials as required.
- Tracking project progress and communicating proactively about schedules, materials, challenges, and changes.
- Identifying issues early and finding practical solutions before they affect the project.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
- Communicating professionally with homeowners, providing updates, answering questions, and creating a positive client experience.
- Representing R Legacy Landscapes & Pools Inc. professionally in front of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
What You Bring
- 6 - 8 years of hands-on landscape and hardscape experience. Pool experience is an asset.
- Highly proficient at installing interlock, natural stone, porcelain, retaining walls, driveways, stairs, sod, and gardens.
- Experienced and very comfortable operating all forms of landscape equipment and machinery (skid steers, mini excavators, tamper, quick cut, etc.)
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (mandatory).
- Proficient at driving a truck and trailer.
- The ability to work independently and manage all aspects of your own site.
- A strong team mentality and a respectful, professional attitude.
- Based in Barrie, Ontario or the surrounding area.
Compensation & Details
- Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Hours: Full time. Seasonal landscape construction hours from April - November (approx.). Overtime during peak season is expected.
- Location: Barrie, Ontario and surrounding area.
- Transportation: Company truck provided for work activities.
- Start Date: As soon as the right person is found.
