We are currently looking for a welder for our client Agnico-Eagle Meadowbank division in Nunavut.
Responsabilities:
Under the supervision of his foreman, the welder will be assigned responsibilities for the inspection, modification, repair, improvement and maintenance of mobile equipment.
The main tasks that will be entrusted to him are:
- Planning and carrying out welding work;
- Reading drawings, plans, and schematics;
- Performing welding maintenance on mobile mining equipment;
- Completing haul truck box rebuilds and related structural repairs;
- Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Having a professional diploma in welding;
- Having a Red Seal certification in welding, mandatory;
- Having a minimum of 5 years of experience;
- Having a mininum of 2 years of experience with box rebuilds, repair of buckets is mandatory;
- Experience with line boring;
- CWB certified, mandatory;
- Being able to read mechanical drawing and schematics;
- Being a team player
- Being able to work on alternating shifts (day/night);
- Having worked in the mining industry is an asset;
- Having mining experience, an asset.
Working conditions and benefits:
- Permanent, full-time position;
- Hourly salary between 38.42$/h and 52.78$/h;
- Time paid at the time and a half rate for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week, for work performed on Saturday and Sunday as well as on statutory holidays;
- Work schedule of 14 working days, followed by 14 days off. The work shifts are 12 hours, alternating day and night rotation;
- Fly-in / Fly-out: Workers can take the plane at Mirabel airport or at Val-d'Or airport;
- Lodged and fed on site;
- Travel allowance package;
- Tools, PPE and workclothes supplied on the mine site;
- Night prime bonus of 1.00$/hour;
- Underground bonus of 7.00$/hour;
