Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the kitchen environment. As an Assistant Cook, you will support the head chef and kitchen staff in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menus.
- Help with food handling, including washing, chopping, and cooking ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared safely and hygienically.
- Participate in kitchen setup and breakdown before and after service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service.
- Operate dishwasher as directed. Ensure chemicals and water temperature are as expected
Requirements
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Familiarity with food service operations and kitchen equipment.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new cooking techniques.

Pay：
- $17.60 -$20.00 per hour
- With growth opportunities based on performance and after successful completion of the probationary/training period.
