Omnia Construction Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our growing team. Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials
Constructing, installing, and repairing structures (walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, furniture)
Installing trim items including moulding, hardware, and fixtures
Performing renovations and maintenance on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Collaborating with other trades to ensure smooth workflow
Maintaining a clean and safe job site
Operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently
Accurately recording and maintaining relevant paperwork
Participating in a safe work culture
Reporting concerns and safety hazards to supervisors
Performing other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager and Project Manager
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid driver’s license and own transportation
Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints (Bluebeam Revu experience preferred)
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques used in carpentry
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when trained
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Solid understanding of mathematical concepts
Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs
Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to work independently and within a team
Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth
Additional Details
Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Overtime as required
Travel may be required to multiple job sites
Location: Edmonton and Area
