As a Shop & Facilities Attendant and General Labour you will is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the dealership facilities. This role supports daily operations by performing the following:
Facility and Shop Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of all shop areas, workstations, and common areas. Sweep and clean shop floors as required. Remove garbage and debris from work areas. Empty oil drainers and waste containers as directed. Clean and maintain shop equipment, including tire machines and related tools.
Remove and organize scrap metal, used batteries, and scrap tires.
Outside Grounds Inspection: Inspect front and rear parking lots. Remove garbage and litter from dealership grounds. Collect and dispose of leaves and yard debris. Inspect garbage and cardboard recycling bins and report when servicing is required. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all exterior areas. Perform seasonal duties such as snow and ice removal (shoveling, salting), sweeping debris, and basic landscaping.
Fluid and Oil Level Inspections: Perform daily inspections and report low inventory levels for: Engine oil, Transmission oil , Washer fluid, Gear oil, brake cleaner supplies, waste oil storage containers, waste antifreeze containers, and report high levels or any spills immediately to management.
Car Wash Area Inspection: Inspect and monitor soap, foam, and wax levels. Ensure the car wash area remains clean and operational, and report equipment issues or supply shortages.
Tire Handling and Warehouse Support: Load tires into containers as required, move tire skids to the warehouse, unload and organize tires in the warehouse, maintain cleanliness and organization of tire storage areas.
Health & Safety Responsibilities: Follow all company safety policies and procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment, and immediately report safety concerns, spills, equipment damage, or environmental issues.
Other dries and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous general labour or automotive facility experience, ability to lift and move heavy items such as tires and shop materials.
Valid G driver’s license (be able to drive manual transmission is an asset)
Forklift or Skid steer certification (current)
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Physical requirements: Standing and walking for extended periods. Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
