As the successful candidate of our Architectural Millwork Project Manager, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion and serve as a key liaison between our clients and team members ensuring all project requirements, deadlines, and standards are met with precision.
You will be responsibilities for:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from order acceptance through to project completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for project tenders, including materials, and labour.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to bids.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and feasibility, and managing the submittal process.
- Review blueprints and shop drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Manage submittals to the shop and schedule punch list items.
- Determine the quantity and types of materials needed for the project
- Obtain quotes and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, finishes, hardware, and services.
- Review procurement processes, source materials, managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and oversee the installation process.
- Work closely with our management, internal design, and production teams.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the millwork production team to ensure design feasibility, provide necessary clarifications during the manufacturing process, and relay design changes, modifications, or special considerations that may arise during the project.
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant data for accurate estimating and production, if required.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
REQUIRED - Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proven experience in project management within the architectural millwork or woodworking industry.
- A strong understanding of millwork detailing, fabrication techniques, and installation processes.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft & Solidworks software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in price calculations and bid preparation.
- Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
