Department: Customer Service and Inside Sales
Reports to: Sales Lead, Alberta Cheese
Status: Full-time, 12-Month Contract
The starting annual pay range for the role is $45,500 - $75,900 based on experience and qualifications.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Sales Lead, this role serves as a critical customer service and sales support function for Alberta Cheese Company (ACC). The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, while supporting internal teams across production, distribution, finance, and sales to ensure a seamless order-to-delivery experience. This is a customer-first role, focused on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive, document, and enter customer inquiries and orders
· Process all customer orders accurately
· Provide timely, professional communication to customers
· Handle and document customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
· Support new customer account activation activities
· Liaise with external and internal customers
· Resolve order issues and coordinate product returns
· Maintain accurate records of orders, credits, and customer interactions
· Ensure compliance with internal processes and customer service standards
· Provide after-hours support as required to maintain service levels
· Other duties and projects assigned
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education with 2+ years experience in customer service, order management, or sales support
· Experience in food manufacturing or distribution is an asset
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume order environment
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a customer-first mindset
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience is an asset
· Flexibility to work evenings/weekends
Working Environment:
General office conditions.
Schedule requirements:
- Monday – Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: Off
- Flexibility Required:
- Weekend order processing as needed
- Occasional after-hours support based on customer demand
Physical Demands:
Sitting, walking and keyboarding for a considerable length of time.
