Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sage 50 Experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your expertise will support efficient financial operations, facilitate precise reporting, and contribute to the overall health of the organization’s financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting software and bookkeeping processes, with a focus on Sage 50.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using Sage 50 accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure consistency.
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare financial reports, including trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets for management review.
- Assist with payroll processing by verifying employee hours and ensuring accurate deductions.
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and revenue against forecasts.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance bookkeeping efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with expertise in Sage 50 accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software is a plus.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience working in diverse industries or organizations is advantageous.
