Position Overview:
Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive range of employee health and safety programs, training and services to meet the goals and legal obligations of Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. These functions include the assessment, facilitation and evaluation of injury prevention, environmental safety, occupational health and safety, employee wellness and development, training, implementation and consultation. The Health & Safety Manager oversees all Occupational Health and Safety activities, and disability management for the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum post-secondary school diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field of study.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration with emphasis on health and safety.

Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Director of Finance & Corporate Services in relation to service requirements.

Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s Licence and have access to a personal vehicle which will pass a Provincial safety inspection.

Satisfactory criminal records check.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
