You will be responsible for the complete tear-down, inspection, evaluation, and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders ranging from small steering actuators to the largest mining cylinders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Dismantle and thoroughly inspect hydraulic cylinders
- Perform precise dimensional measurements and component assessments
- Create detailed inspection reports with failure analysis and recommended scope of repair
- Develop accurate repair plans and material requirements
- Order required components and manage parts verification
- Reassemble cylinders to specification
- Conduct pressure testing and final quality verification
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright preferred. Would consider training less experienced candidate with good mechanical aptitude, work ethic and safety attitude
- Strong measuring and inspection skills (micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and tolerances
- High attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Experience with large industrial or mining equipment considered an asset
This position requires a mechanically strong individual who takes ownership of quality, understands tolerances, and can work independently within a structured repair process.
