Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Home Monitoring Program Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (Piece-Rate Equivalent) Location: Surrey, BC
Job Description: We are urgently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medication Home Monitoring Program. Patients and addresses generally remain fixed from day to day, with the majority located in Surrey and North Delta. Pharmacy Base: 103B-6935 120 Street, Delta, BC (on the Surrey border).
Duties:
- Administer and/or witness medications at patients' homes [including insulins].
- Take vital signs and blood glucose levels as instructed.
- Document clinical records for each visit and notify the on-duty pharmacist of any status changes.
- NO Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assistance, bathing, or lifting. This role is strictly medication administration and clinical monitoring.
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Valid BC Driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for a community-based route.
Remuneration:
- Compensation is strictly piece-rate: $7.00 to $10.00 per completed patient visit.
- Visits are highly organized, specific-function checks designed to take 5 minutes or less.
- Rate is all-inclusive; no separate mileage or vehicle allowance is provided.
- Target hourly equivalent based on standard route efficiency is $30.00 to $35.00/hr.
Additional Information:
- Ability to speak Punjabi/Hindi is an asset.
