Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian Brunch Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with a focus on Indian cuisine. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The Chef will play a key role in menu development, team leadership, and maintaining high-quality food service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian brunch dishes with attention to flavor, presentation, and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and team management to ensure efficient operations
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper storage practices
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Ensure timely service during busy brunch hours while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Lead by example in food safety practices and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence
- Serve as a mentor for junior kitchen staff and foster a positive team environment
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within Indian cuisine or similar culinary styles
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Strong background in food service operations, team management, and restaurant management
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling of ingredients
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Previous experience working in the food industry or hospitality sector is essential
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food presentation, and serving techniques
