Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians (Night Shift)

Matrix HR is hiring Journeyperson and Apprentice Electricians for an active new-build project in Chilliwack, BC. This is a night-shift opportunity offering steady work throughout the summer.
Local candidates are preferred. Travel assistance may be available for qualified candidates travelling to the project.
Compensation
Journeyperson Electrician
- $42.26/hour
- $49.02/hour with the 16% night shift premium
Apprentice Electrician
- $21.13 to $33.80/hour, based on apprenticeship level
- 16% night shift premium applies
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems on a commercial construction project
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Pull cable, install conduit, and complete rough-in wiring
- Assist with electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all site health and safety requirements
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or registered Apprentice status
- Commercial construction experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with cable pulling, conduit installation, and rough-in work
- Valid Fall Protection certification
- Valid lift ticket, including Elevated Work Platform certification
- Own fall protection harness and lanyards
- Valid WHMIS 2025 certification
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
