Ruel Concrete Ltd. - is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our Slave Lake, AB team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck and/or trailer combinations to transport materials to and from various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 dump trucks and trailer combinations efficiently on public roads, constructions sites, and off-road locations.
- Load and unload materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, debris, and drill cuttings.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with Dispatchers and Site Supervisors
- Assist with minor site tasks, operate loader to load self/other trucks
- Maintain clean truck interior and exterior
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Canadian Driver's License with Clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 1 years aggregate hauling and off-road (non highway) truck driving
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Physically fit to climb in and out of box, staple poly to box, road-side repairs
- First Aid Certificate, CSO, H2S
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with end-dump trailers, belly dump trailers and spreading, quad wagon, tri-axle pup, tractor and equipment trailers
Wage:
Wage - To be negotiated, based on experience
90 day probationary period
Self-funded medical, dental, vision plan - post-probation period
* Preference will be given to local driver's and/or persons willing to re-locate prior to commencement
