Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Lead to oversee food preparation operations in our busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all meal components are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As a Prep Lead, you will support the culinary team by managing prep activities, maintaining food safety protocols, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflow. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation activities, ensuring timely completion of prep tasks for service.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for cooking.
- Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during peak hours.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and storage areas.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food safety practices, proper handling techniques, and efficient prep methods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs for restocking.
- Uphold excellent food service standards by ensuring timely and accurate meal assembly.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and food safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
