Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, experience with freight and heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using Tailgate or Pump truck ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring accuracy and care during handling.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, receipts, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
- Perform basic vehicle repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or in logistics is desirable but not mandatory.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
