About Us
We are a busy COR-certified kosher catering company specializing in events, Shabbat meals, holidays, and special occasions. We are looking for reliable, hardworking team members to join our kitchen staff.
We are currently hiring both full-time and part-time Kitchen Assistants / Prep Cooks. This is a great opportunity for someone with kitchen experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a growing catering team.
As a kosher catering company, we follow strict kosher kitchen procedures and standards. Experience working in a kosher kitchen is a strong asset.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling based on catering needs
- Full-time hours available (40+ hours/week during busy periods)
- Part-time opportunities available for candidates with specific availability
- Hours may vary depending on events, holidays, and catering seasons
- Availability for additional hours during busy catering periods may be required
- Our kitchen is closed every Shabbat (Friday sundown through Saturday night) and on Jewish holidays (Yom Tov)
- Employees will have these times off and are not expected to work during these closures
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation for catering orders and events
- Cook and prepare menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Chop, portion, organize, and prepare ingredients
- Assist with assembling catering orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen cleanup and closing duties
- Receive, organize, and put away food deliveries and supplies
- Lift and move boxes, food containers, and kitchen supplies (ability to lift approximately 40–50 lbs)
- Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kosher kitchen procedures
- Maintain compliance with COR-certified kitchen standards and protocols
Qualifications
- Previous cooking, kitchen, restaurant, or catering experience preferred
- Experience preparing food in a commercial kitchen is an asset
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced catering environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in a COR-certified kosher kitchen or kosher catering environment and familiairty with COR requirements is a strong asset but not required
- Enjoyment for cooking and willingness to learn
