Overview
We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team for the summer exterior season, starting in June. If you do not have any experience we encourage you to apply as well. Just graduated high-school and want to get hands on to learn a new trade? We are willing to train the right person! Women are encouraged to apply! We are currently an all women's team! We are looking to add a person that has a 'can do' attitude. Wages depend on experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting. Has a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. This role requires proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as the ability to work effectively in different environments, including construction sites and customer homes. The painter will play a crucial role in restoring and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of various surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks.
- Restore surfaces by repairing drywall and other materials prior to painting.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or commercial painting is preferred (not necessary).
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to painting tasks.
- Knowledge of drywall repair techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with caulking methods and materials used in painting projects.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on larger projects.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require standing for long periods, lifting materials, and working at heights on man-lifts and ladders when necessary.
