TMSI Ltd is a container transportation company based in Dartmouth NS, specializing in commercial cargo transportation between Atlantic Canada and Newfoundland.
We have an immediate opening for a General Warehouse Labourer in our Dartmouth warehouse.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM or 7AM-4PM
Job Duties:
- Loading and unloading container trailers using forklifts and other equipment
- Receiving orders and ensuring proper paperwork is completed
- Packing and organizing orders for shipment
- Lawn care, shoveling, washing company trucks and vehicles, general cleaning, and other tasks as directed
- Occasionally driving company vehicle for pickups and deliveries
- Understanding and following safety procedures and protocols
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. This is a dynamic, fast-paced roll, that will give you the opportunity to work in various parts of our operation. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be organized and have good problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Forklift certificate and experience is considered an asset
- Ability to lift heavy boxes or merchandise up to 50 lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00 per hour
