We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join a Human Resources team. This pivotal role involves managing payroll processing, administering employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and experience with various HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) platforms, contributing to the seamless operation of our payroll and benefits functions. Duties
- Provide support for payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and benefits, weekly & bi-weekly for hourly, salaried, union & non-union on ADP-WFN
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain and update HRIS systems other ERP systems to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for process improvement within payroll and benefits administration.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to resolve payroll or benefits-related inquiries through effective negotiation and communication skills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, local regulations related to payroll taxes, benefits administration, and reporting requirements.
- Support employee relations by providing clear information about benefits options and assisting with enrollment processes.
- Assist in training staff on HRIS platforms for time tracking and attendance management.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of payroll processes through innovative solutions and automation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll processing using ADP-WFN
- Strong knowledge of human resources practices related to benefits administration and payroll compliance.
- Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret complex datasets accurately.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across diverse teams.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and resolve employee inquiries professionally.
- Experience with recruiting processes and training & development initiatives is a plus.
- Knowledge of data collection methods and reporting tools like Salesforce is advantageous.
