Job Summary
The Supply Chain Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material and spare parts availability across multiple sites while optimizing inventory levels and working capital. This role partners closely with Procurement, Suppliers, Engineering, and cross-functional (XFN) teams to manage material planning, inventory accuracy, master data governance, and process automation. The individual will leverage MRP systems, analytics, and continuous improvement practices to prevent stock-outs, resolve material constraints, and support scalable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Materials Management
Partner with Procurement teams and suppliers to ensure a steady flow of materials across all sites without overcapitalizing inventory.
Support spare parts fulfillment by managing material demand signals using MRP software.
Anticipate stock requirements based on current operations and future site or functional needs.
Analyze inventory levels to support both increased and reduced demand scenarios.
Execute inventory transactions, including material movements and inter-site transfers.
Analyze inventory across multiple sites to identify imbalances, risks, and optimization opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with SPL and Meta’s Infrastructure Business Operations Services (IBOS) Central team to review site Materials Stock Locations (MSLs) and close identified gaps.
Collaborate with SPL, IBOS Central, Engineering, and FacOps teams to resolve operational and system-related material issues.
Facilitate review and reclassification of materials with cross-functional (XFN) stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Automation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance materials planning, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Automate tactical and repetitive activities to improve productivity and scalability.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of strong experience in supply chain operations, materials planning, inventory management, or spares management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root-cause analysis.
Experience managing master data, BOMs, part numbers, and engineering change processes.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with MRP systems and inventory planning tools.
Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site operations.
Familiarity with Meta systems such as Fusion, FBPNs, and MSL processes.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA, Macros, or other automation tools.
Background in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Materials Management best practices.
