Position Overview
We’re seeking a Journeyman Electrician with strong construction installation and Instrumentation & Controls experience to support projects across Western Canada.
This is a travel-based role, working on a variety of industrial sites. You’ll be involved in electrical construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems that support critical operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about electrical industrial construction, maintenance, electrical systems, and precision instrumentation to make a tangible impact. This position can be based at one of our regional offices (AB, MB, SK, BC), depending on the qualified candidate's primary location.
Journeyperson Electrical
- Install, terminate, and test electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Plan daily work, complete material lists, and support scheduling
- Complete QA/QC documentation, red-lines, and daily reports
- Coordinate with Foremen, Project Managers, and other trades
- Train and mentor apprentices
- Follow and promote all company and site safety requirements
Instrumentation & Controls (I&C)
- Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation and control systems
- Perform loop checks, calibration, and system testing
- Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and automation systems
- Interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and control schematics
- Support commissioning and startup of process and industrial systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all I&C work
Journeyperson Electrician I&C Qualifications & Experience
- Journeyman Electrician certification (required)
- Experience in an industrial construction background
- Strong I&C experience in industrial or process environments
- Self-motivated and can motivate others to maintain schedules and production
- Hands-on experience with calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control diagrams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Western Canada (required)

Pay: $36.55-$50.40 per hour
