This role supports the day-to-day execution of local operations while owning pricing/quoting coordination for customer and internal requests. You'll work closely with operations, customer service, and sales to ensure shipments move smoothly and pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing (Primary)
- Prepare and manage local pricing/quotes for customer requests, ensuring accuracy and fast turnaround.
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to obtain rates and confirm service details.
- Maintain rate records and ensure pricing inputs are complete and properly documented.
- Support pricing updates and spot-quote requests based on lane, service level, and operational constraints.
Operations (Core)
- Coordinate shipment execution activities (bookings, milestones, handoffs, documentation support) to keep freight moving.
- Monitor shipments and proactively flag risks, delays, or exceptions; drive resolution with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure operational data is entered accurately and on time.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and proposing process fixes.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams on timelines, requirements, and changes.
- Partner with sales/customer service to align pricing with service expectations and operational realities.
- Build strong working relationships with carriers, terminals/warehouses (as applicable), and service providers.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the supply chain/logistics industry (freight forwarding, transportation, 3PL, or related).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in-office and collaborating closely with a local team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CargoWise experience.
- Experience with rate management, spot quoting, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with common shipping documents and operational workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM/tools used in logistics environments.
