Position Overview:
The Site Supervisor Assistant will work closely with the Site Supervisor to provide excellent, respectful, and timely communication between the trades and Huntington office. This is a hands-on position on construction job sites.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting the Site Supervisor
- Ensuring trades are on site as per schedule
- Vacuuming on site when required
- Maintaining clean construction sites
- Maintaining proper site signage
- Installing safety railings
- Liaison between trades on site and office
- Occasional transport of job materials
- Reviewing fixture and appliance packages
- Completing Hydro applications
- Booking inspections
- Setting up power poles
- Reviewing emails and change orders
The successful candidate will:
- have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on construction experience
- have a valid and active business/business number
- have WCB coverage through their business
- have full-time availability (Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM)
- be fluent in English (speaking and written)
- be detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, creative, hard-working, with a positive attitude
- have good time management skills
- have a willingness to learn
- be able to work in a team environment or independently
- be comfortable communicating verbally and in writing with clients and trades
- be comfortable participating in meetings with clients, coworkers, and trades
- be able to work under pressure
- be able to pass a criminal record check
- Must be skilled in Outlook
- have a valid driver’s licence and own insured vehicle available for use during work hours
Compensation will be determined based on experience.
