Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tire and Suspension Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with various tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tires and suspension systems to ensure vehicle safety and performance. The Technician will provide excellent customer service while delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is preferred, but a strong foundation in automotive maintenance and repair is essential. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair tire issues, including mounting, balancing, and replacing tires
- Inspect and service suspension components such as shocks, struts, and control arms
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs accurately and efficiently
- Perform wheel alignments and related maintenance tasks
- Assist customers by explaining repairs needed and recommending appropriate solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to adhere to safety standards
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to identify potential issues early
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair, preferably within a dealership setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, especially tires and suspension components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for tire installation and suspension work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Sales skills are a plus for recommending additional services or products to customers
PAY/FUTURE OPPORTUNITY
- Pay will be based on years of experience, 1-3 years of experience in a tire technician role starts at 20.00 Per hour with wage increases from there.
- If you have ample experience on vehicle suspensions specifically on levelling, lift kits, brakes, rotors, bearings, differentials your wage will be negotiated.
- We are looking for 1-2 Hard working individuals that would like to grow with our team, if you start off as a tire technician there is ample opportunity to learn suspension work from a lead technician/Journeyman technician.
- We are able to train if you are a punctual, hardworking, and laser focused individual.
Pay: $20.00-$33.16 per hour
