Job Title: CNC Operator (Afternoon Shift) 4:00 pm to 12:30 am
Position Summary - Commdoor Aluminum is a leading Canadian manufacturer of architectural aluminum products, including curtain walls, windows, doors, and framing systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. The company has served the glazing and building industry since 1989.
Commdoor Aluminum is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality aluminum components in accordance with production schedules and engineering specifications. The successful candidate will perform machine setups and adjustments, conduct quality inspections, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
· Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Experience performing machine setups and making operational adjustments is an asset.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
· Operate CNC machinery and perform CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting as required.
· Experience programming 3 axis and 5 axis CNC machines.
· Experience using Mastercam and macros for CNC programming would be considered a strong asset.
· Experience with center milling processes.
· Strong CNC programming ability with the aptitude to learn FOM programming, recognizing that direct FOM experience is a specialized skill set
· Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
· Experience working with aluminum products is considered an asset.
· Operate CNC machines in accordance with production requirements, work instructions, and established procedures.
· Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and operational adjustments as required to ensure efficient production.
· Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, blueprints, and production documentation.
· Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or production issues to the supervisor.
· Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
· Ensure materials and components are properly handled and stored throughout the production process.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and housekeeping standards.
· Follow all health and safety regulations, operational procedures, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical training in CNC machining, manufacturing, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience Requirements:
· Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Experience performing machine setups and making operational adjustments is an asset.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
· Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
· Experience working with aluminum products is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
· Manufacturing and production environment, ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of materials.
· Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
Pay Rate: $27.10
